SOZO FAMILY FITNESS
GLP-1 Strength and Support
Sozo Strength & Support is a personalized training and health coaching program designed specifically for individuals using GLP-1 medications. While these medications can support weight loss, they can also negatively impact muscle, energy, and long-term metabolism without the right plan in place.
At Sozo, we focus on helping you build and preserve strength, stay energized, and develop sustainable habits that support your body during and after GLP-1 use. Through 1:1 personalized training sessions and ongoing health coach support, you’ll be guided every step of the way in a safe, encouraging, and judgment-free environment.
Weight loss is only part of it. The real goal is building a body that feels strong, capable, and ready for the long haul.
Participants in this program will be paired with one of our personal trainers, and will work closely with health coach Sandra Benninger.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be taking a GLP-1 medication to join this program?
Q:
A:
Yes, this program is specifically designed for individuals currently using GLP-1 medications or planning to. The focus is on supporting your body through the unique changes that come with them. We also offer personal training for folks who aren't on GLP-1s.
Why is strength training important while on GLP-1 medications?
Q:
A:
GLP-1 medications can lead to weight loss, but without the right plan, some of that can be muscle.
Strength training helps you:
-
Preserve lean muscle
-
Maintain a healthy metabolism
-
Improve energy and overall function
I’ve never worked out before—can I still do this?
Q:
A:
Absolutely. This program is designed for all fitness levels. Every session is 1:1 and fully customized, so we meet you exactly where you are.
What does “1:1 personalized training” look like?
Q:
A:
You’ll work individually with a certified Sozo trainer who:

-
Will design workouts based on your energy, experience, and goals
-
Will adjust exercises in real time based on how you’re feeling
-
Will focus on safe, effective strength-building
What does the health coach do?

Your health coach will support the lifestyle side of things, including:

-
Nutrition and protein intake guidance
-
Hydration strategies
-
Navigating appetite and energy changes
-
Accountability and habit-building
-
Mindset

She will work alongside your trainer to support the whole picture.
Will I get a meal plan?
Q:
A:
We don’t provide strict meal plans. Instead, we focus on sustainable habits and guidance that fits your lifestyle. This is especially important while your appetite and preferences may be changing.
Is this program safe while on GLP-1 medications?
Q:
A:
Yes. Our approach is designed to be safe, gradual, and supportive. We encourage all clients to continue working with their healthcare provider while participating.
What if I feel tired or low energy on my medication?
Q:
A:
That’s very common—and something we plan for. Your training program is adjusted to your energy levels, and your health coach will help you support your body with proper fueling and recovery.
How often will I train?
Q:
A:
Most clients train 2 times per week, and follow guidlines provided by your trainer for one or two solo workouts, but we’ll help you determine what works best for your schedule, goals, and energy.
How long is the program?
Q:
A:
This program is 12 weeks. In that time your team (trainer and health coach) will work with you to build strength, establish habits, and feel real progress. After 12 weeks we will work with you to find the best plan to move forward. That may be transitioning to personal training without health coaching, or transitioning to our group fitness classes. We will help you determine the best plan for YOU.
Q:
What happens after I stop taking GLP-1 medication?
A:
It is important to build the "Behavior Change" layer while you are taking the medication.
GLP-1s quiet the food noise and reduce the cravings. But when life gets loud (and it always does), you need more than medication. You need someone in your corner helping to build the skills for lifelong health. When behavior change is at the center, that's what makes lasting results possible. Our goal is to help you establish habits that will help you to maintain your results long-term.
Is this just for weight loss?
Q:
A:
No. While weight loss may happen, this program is focused on:
-
Strength
-
Energy
-
Muscle preservation
-
Long-term health
