After 5 years in the Army, I knew I wanted to work in health and wellness, and I found that empowering individuals to achieve their fitness goals and transform their lives was something I was truly passionate about. The best thing about training and being an instructor is seeing individuals not only get stronger, but have fun and get their endorphins going!
Through a holistic approach that integrates exercise, nutrition, and mindset coaching, I try to inspire lifestyle changes in creative and fun ways. Seeing the rush my clients feel after a fun & challenging workout boosts not just their endorphins, but mine as well, which is what makes my job as a personal trainer AWESOME!
Beyond physical transformations, I am committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment where clients feel healthy, STRONG, and motivated.

With over 30 years in the fitness and wellness industry (first certified in 1995), I bring both experience and passion to helping others improve their lives. From managing a fitness center in NYC to owning an in-home personal training business, I always do my best to make health goals achievable, motivating and enjoyable. With a degree in Exercise Science from UConn and advanced certifications from the NSCA, NASM and ACE, I’m committed to staying sharp and finding better, more effective ways to help others succeed. Although I’ve had the good fortune of training a number of professional athletes in multiple sports and a couple of national champions and Olympic hopefuls, I feel the most blessed to have played a roll in helping my everyday clients exceed their own expectations in weight loss, injury recovery, the alleviation of pain, athletic performance, and overall wellness.

I first gained an interest for fitness in high school when we began weightlifting for soccer. I remember how instantly invested I became in learning more about exercise and health. Since then, I have learned that being healthy includes far more than just exercise, and have adopted a more holistic approach to training.
I believe exercise is a blessing and shouldn’t become something you dread. I want to give each client the tools they need to succeed so they can be confident in their own individual abilities. One of my favorite parts of training is seeing the growth in people when they invest in their health and become stronger, happier, and healthier.

There are several things in life I love. First is God and for all his blessings he has blessed me with. Those include passions for martial arts and fitness. I am a level 2 instructor in the DDPY fitness program and love sharing ways for people to stretch and strengthen. I have a 7th degree black belt in Shito ryu. I am also a certified personal trainer through NASM and certified in Blood Flow Restriction Training. I want to help people to not only be healthier through exercise and nutrition but to be able to move without pain or discomfort. I love being able to share these passions with others and try to make it a fun experience. A workout is a reward of what you can do not a punishment of what you have done.

After losing my mother-in-law in 2019 and mother in 2020, both to cancer, I became very depressed, which caused me to gain weight. I called the gym to cancel my membership and the owner asked if I could come in to talk. During our conversation, she encouraged me to lead by example for my family. My family looks up to me. When they see that I am taking my health seriously, they will want to do the same. This conversation not only placed me on my current path but has changed the lives of my family as well.

I chose to become a personal trainer because I want to continue leading by example. I want to help people take care of themselves by prioritizing their health and fitness. I want to inspire others to achieve their goals while knowing they are supported.

I've been bodybuilding for over 25 years, started competing in 2007, and began training other competitors in 2011. In 2013, I earned my bodybuilding pro card with the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation (WNBF) and co-founded The Training Station, LLC and The Diet Doc in Danvers, MA—a personal and small group training studio that also offered nutrition coaching. For over a decade, I’ve truly enjoyed working with clients of all levels—men, women, and competitive athletes. I specialize in Health and Wellness, helping people reach their goals through better nutrition and effective exercise strategies. In April of 2018, I made the decision to close my training studio to focus more fully on guiding people toward better health through nutrition. That led me to join In8 Wellness and Fitness Center, where I worked alongside an incredible team of health professionals to enhance the wellness experience through Nutrition and Wellness Coaching. In May of 2022, I relocated to Prosperity, SC, where I discovered Sozo. Since November of 2022, I’ve been training clients there and continuing my mission to help people become healthier and stronger through smart nutrition and fitness.

I've been involved with fitness in some form or fashion for most of my life. Growing up as an athlete I loved to compete, however I always found the process of gaining strength and conditioning especially interesting and enjoyable. Through the years, that interest only grew and ultimately materialized into becoming a certified personal trainer. I've seen in my own life how training can not only accomplish physical fitness, but, perhaps more importantly, how it can radically improve emotional fitness. By being in a regular fitness routine, we can give our brain the support it needs to help us function at our best, both for ourselves and for the people we love. This idea is what I want to instill in my clients- that your body AND your mind can flourish when you treat them to consistent exercise and supportive nutrition. You are capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for and I'm passionate about helping others believe that, too!
